Is the TurboSwing suitable for all brands of outboard motors?
Yes, TurboSwing is suitable for all outboard motors from 30HP. The receivers fit on the motor bracket. The determining factor is the center-to-center distance of the bolts.
What is the maximum power that can be handled by the TurboSwing?
The TurboSwing can be used with motors up to 350HP.
What material is the TurboSwing made of?
All parts are made of marine grade 316 stainless steel, with the exception of the plastic pulleys in the Ezpulley™ and the friction discs for the holders.
What maintenance is required on the TurboSwing?
Maintenance is minimal. Corrosive substances, such as salt, chlorides and iron oxide, are found in the water. Clean off any deposits using a plastic brush (do not use a metal scouring pad), boat soap and water. For stubborn dirt and lime scale, use a waterline or hull cleaner. After cleaning or using the TurboSwing, rinse it off thoroughly with clean water.
Does the TurboSwing's stainless steel construction influence my aluminium motor or boat (dissimilar metals)?
Your boat's outboard motor also contains stainless steel parts and is therefore equipped with anodes for cathodic protection. Ensure that the anodes are always in good condition to avoid galvanic corrosion. The installation of the TurboSwing can lead to the sacrificial anodes shrinking more quickly, therefore, check them regularly. There is a hole at the base of the holders to which an additional anode can be attached if required. The anodes should be checked more regularly, or consideration should be given to installing more anodes, if the boat will be in salt water for a long time.
What is the maximum that the TurboSwing can tow?
The TurboSwing has a tow rating of 600 pounds dry weight. We have already factored in the drag when considering this.
To install the TurboSwing, must I make holes in my boat or reinforce the hull?
No. The transom is the strongest structure of the boat; This is where not only the motor but also the TurboSwing will be mounted. The TurboSwing holders fit exactly on the motor bracket and will be, together with the motor, mounted on the transom using the same bolts. The holders are universal, therefore the holes in the holders match the holes in the motor bracket. All motors from 40HP, with the exception of those from Honda from 175HP and Evinrude from 75HP, have exactly the same brackets. The main bolts at the top of the motor bracket that are already present will be used. For reasons of stabilization, on both sides a 2nd hole will be drilled and a 2nd stabilization bolt installed in one of the 4 or 5 pre-drilled bolt holes. Always leave a minimum of 1, but preferably 2 holes between the main bolt and the stabilization bolt. Otherwise, no drilling or sawing is required at places that are unsuitable and that could weaken the structure of the boat. Reinforcement with epoxy and/or other structural reinforcement is unnecessary.
Is the TurboSwing guaranteed?
Yes, TurboSwing gives a full 12-month guarantee on all parts, as long as you abide by the proper installation and use as detailed in the owner's manual.
Can multiple skiers/boards be towed by the TurboSwing?
Yes, this is possible with a separate pulley for each person so that they can ski and/or board independently.
Are there also TurboSwings models for twin motors?
Yes, for all brands up to 350HP - they are called TurboSwing-Twins.
Will it fit MY boat?
The Fishmaster T-Top will fit all fishing boats with center consoles up to 50" wide. The innovative design allows the side legs to adjust to any width up to 50". The legs on each side (front to back) are 27.5" apart (center to center), and 31.5" apart (outsides of mounting feet).
I have a 17' Whaler can you give me any information?
Additional information here: 17' Whaler page
How long does it take to fold down the T-Top for storage or to get below a bridge?
Normally about five minutes. There are two bolts that need to be removed from each of the four legs for the T-Top to fold forward. Then two bolts are removed from each side of the top section to allow it to fold. Only one bolt is required for each location except when used in rough water or when over 20 lbs of accessories are attached to the top. For customers that need to more regularly put their T-Tops up and down a quick release knob kit is available.
What colors are available for the canvas top?
Canvas colors currently available: sunbrella fabric options
Are your products designed for saltwater use?
Yes. All tubing is 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum that is polished and protected with a bright dip anodized finish. All hardware is marine grade stainless steel. It is recommended to wash after saltwater use and occasionally protect with a maring grade aluminum polish.
Does this top have an electronics box or attachment?
We have an electronics box available as well as various brackets for the Fishmaster that can be used to mount antenna, radars, etc.
Will it interfere with the side door of my center console?
Side doors up to 20" wide and 32" tall will be able to open normally. See the dimension drawings above. If your door is larger we include instructions to make the door easily removed by sliding out like provided on the new Boston Whalers.

How can the Monster Towers cost so much less than comparable towers?
We are able to produce the highest quality tower possible and make it affordable by leveraging relationships and capitalizing on "economies of scale." As part of the Marine Accessories Corporation family, we have access to our sister company Great Lakes Boat Top for custom development and great deals on our canvas.
What do I need to do to maintain my Monster Tower wakeboard tower?
The only maintenance needed on a Monster Tower wakeboard tower is to occasionally use a mild soap and water. If you use your boat in salt water we recommend spraying the Heim joints with CRC or WD-40 after each use. You should also check the bolts periodically for tightness.
What is included with each Monster Tower?
Your new Monster Tower will include everything you need to install and enjoy your new wakeboard tower. Each tower includes the top section (called a header) with swivel tow point, two front and two rear legs (MTK has only one starboard and port leg), four Heim joints and bases, backing plates, and all the hardware needed to attach the tower to your boat. Allen wrenches and our detailed tower specific step by step instruction manuals are also included. The wakeboard racks and other tower accessories are not included but can be ordered separately.
What is the wakeboard tower tubing size and what is the material used?
All of our towers are made from 2-1/2" diameter aluminum tubing. (excl. HS1 Tower)
Can the tower be moved to another boat?
Once the final steps of installing the tower are complete the width between the rear legs is permanently set and can not be changed. The only way a tower can be moved to another boat is if the rear leg mounting width is exactly the same.
Do I need to reinforce my boat for a tower?
Most competition ski and wakeboard boats, as well as more expensive boat brands like Sea Ray and Cobalt, have decks which are at least 3/8" thick and do not need to be reinforced. If your deck is thinner than 3/8" you should reinforce it with additional fiberglass to build it up to 3/8". Fiberglass kits are available at many online stores including www.WestMarine.com, www.iboats.com in addition to local boat supply companies. Some of our customers have added a 1/4" or 3/8" piece of plywood under the deck attached with 3M Model 5200 Marine adhesive and then covered this with fiberglass. This is the best possible solution as it adds significant strength for the mounting location. This would be recommended for Bayliner, and similar brands where the fiberglass thickness may be closer to 1/4" or 3/16" thick.
How do I mount the base of my tower to a curved surface?
We asked other tower companies how they address mounting to curved surfaces and heard it was no problem to mount a flat plate to a curved surface. That was not a good enough answer to a bunch of engineers so we developed another industry first, the Monster Paws. These are mounting pads that not only contour to the curve of your boat they also greatly reduce the stress at the holes which further protects your boat.
How do I run speaker and light wires through my Monster tower?
Holes for running speaker wire can be drilled one inch from the welds on the front or rear legs. MTK towers come pre-drilled. Holes can also be added to the top section three inches in from the welds in the straight cross bar of the top section. If you add top section speakers or lights the wire will exit the top of the rear legs and enter the side of the top section. This short "bridge" will connect the top section to the legs electrically. Detailed wiring instructions are included in our speaker installation manual.
What if I need help installing my tower or want someone else to install my new tower?
All that is needed to install the Monster Tower is a drill, drill bits and an adjustable wrench. All other hardware and Allen wrenches are provided along with a step by step instruction manual. We do recommend using socket wrenches instead of an adjustable wrench but either will get the job done just fine. If you have questions about installation we are happy to help, give us a call at 877-77Tower or email us at Support@MonsterTower.com. Some our customers prefer to have their towers and accessories professionally installed and locally supported. Please contact an authorized preferred dealer for local support as well as innovative tower accessories from leading manufacturers.
Will I be able to install the accessories on my own?
The accessories (speakers and wakeboard racks) are very easy to install and will come with instructions to assist you. The Garage Wakeboard Rack requires attachment to your wall with screws. The wakeboard racks attach to your tower with just the use of hex wrenches. The speakers will require some wiring and some drilling, but again that will be outlined in the installation instructions for that specific product.
